Foot & Ankle Medical Clinic provides comprehensive podiatry care for patients of all ages in Garland and Wylie, Texas, and the surrounding communities. Since 2005, our board-certified podiatrists have taken a conservative, family-centered approach to treatment.
Our podiatrists are dedicated to compassionate care and prioritize the least-invasive options whenever possible.
We offer laser therapy, custom orthotics, and KeryFlex™ nail restoration to address conditions of the feet and ankles—such as ingrown toenails, skin conditions, and foot fractures—often without surgery. We also provide guidance on preventive foot care.

Scott Nelson, DPM
Scott Nelson, DPM, is a highly skilled podiatrist serving patients at Foot & Ankle Medical Clinic in Garland, Texas. As a family-oriented husband and father, Dr. Nelson fosters a warm, friendly environment at his practice.
Dr. Nelson graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio, in 2001. Throughout his four years of residency, he served the United States government in the South Dakota Black Hills before completing a three-year surgical program in Denver, Colorado.
At the practice, Dr. Nelson puts his patients first, taking the time to answer any questions they may have. He is well-versed in treating various issues and also helping patients prevent severe foot and ankle conditions.
When Dr. Nelson isn’t treating patients at his small, close-knit practice, he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, and bicycle riding with his beloved wife and their three boys.

Hang Nguyen, DPM
Dr. Hang Nguyen, DPM is a podiatrist who is passionate about helping people move comfortably and confidently at every stage of life. A New Orleans native, Dr. Nguyen earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, California, and completed residency training in foot and ankle surgery at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Texas.
Dr. Nguyen treat and manage a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including flatfoot reconstruction, bunion and hammertoe correction, diabetic foot care, fracture management, and more. Fluent in Vietnamese, Dr. Nguyen values the opportunity to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and ensure that each person feels understood and supported.
With a philosophy centered on compassion and teamwork, Dr. Nguyen takes time to listen, explain treatment options, and create care plans that fit each patient’s lifestyle. The goal is simple: to help every patient get back on their feet with confidence and peace of mind.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Nguyen enjoys crochet, fish keeping and aquascaping, gardening, and traveling. These hobbies are a reminder of the importance of balance, creativity, and staying active—values that Dr. Nguyen carries into patient care every day.
